ThruNite make well-built, straightforward torches that are easy to recommend: powerful headlamps, tactical everyday carry lights, tiny pocket torches and long-range throwers that reach a kilometre. Most come with a USB-C rechargeable battery in the box, and almost all share the same simple controls and a handy low "firefly" mode. This guide covers who ThruNite are, how their range fits together and the models worth knowing in the ThruNite range at Torch Depot.
Who are ThruNite?
ThruNite are a Chinese torch maker with a loyal following among enthusiasts and everyday users alike. Rather than chasing gimmicks, they focus on getting the basics right: efficient LEDs, clean beams, tough aluminium bodies with IPX8 waterproofing, and sensible interfaces that are easy to learn. A signature feature across the range is firefly mode, an ultra-low output that can run for weeks and is perfect for checking on kids or finding your way to the bathroom at night without waking anyone. You can see the full catalogue on the ThruNite official website.
The ThruNite range explained

The TH30 V2 is a powerful 18650 headlamp that doubles as a handheld torch, while the lighter TH20 Pro runs on a rechargeable 14500 or an ordinary AA battery.

Dual-switch 18650 torches with a tail switch for instant light and a side switch for modes. The BSS V6 adds a removable strike bezel.
Pocket torches: T1, T1S, Ti Pro, Saber and Archer
Compact lights for everyday carry, from the magnetic T1 Pro to the 45 g Ti Pro and the AA-compatible Saber. The Archer models are slim tactical penlights.
Throwers: Catapult
The Catapult Pro and Catapult Mini Pro focus their light into a long, tight beam for spotting across paddocks and searching large areas.
Compact power: TC20 V2
A 26650 torch that packs more than 4000 lumens into a short body.
How to choose a ThruNite torch
- Pick the job first. Headlamps for hands-free work, tactical torches for security and dog walks, pocket lights for everyday carry and Catapults for distance.
- Turbo is a burst, not a constant. Like most compact torches, ThruNite lights run their top output for a minute or two before stepping down to manage heat. The high and medium modes are what you will use most.
- Battery flexibility. The TH20 Pro, Saber and Ti Pro accept ordinary AA batteries as a backup, which is handy for travel and emergency kits.
- Cool or neutral white. Several ThruNite models come in neutral white, which shows colours more naturally and is easier on the eyes for close work.
